If you get to the beach just before low tide and spend a few hours searching the pools and rocks of Wembury, you are likely to find many limpets, anemones, shore crabs, pipe fish, sea scorpions, spiny star fish, Cornish sucker fish and edible crabs. Wembury is one of the best spots in the UK for rockpooling, and you don’t need to sign up for one of our events to become a young explorer. Nor do you need the sunniest day of the year. As long as you have a good pair of wellies and a raincoat, there’s no reason you can’t explore the coast during wetter weather.
